I could not pass up the opportunity to share Daddy's creativity. I asked Mom and Dad for some helping tips for making a leg of lamb, because I get the task of making one this Easter at my friends house since I won't get to come home for the holiday. This is how Dad responded to my plea.

Tune,
Grandma Virginia's prize winning recipe for roast lamb.
First, build a lamb trap and season it with lamb bait, i.e. a recording of "Mary had a Little Lamb," or "My Poor Little Lamb." Upon capture, immediately proceed to dress lamb in gay apparel and here is where cooks have become very creative. I recommend a spring outfit bedecked in large blossom flowers and a new spring hat. Be sure to complete lamb dressing stirring occasionally with a " shepherd crook" and marinate for two hours in flavorful herbs...lots and lots of mint jelly. Baste lamb while coddling in arms and repeating silly words like, "Whose UR Daddy?" if you're a male, or "Mommy's little lamb" if female. Try to remain clinical during the process and not be gushing forth in cheeky sayings like the singing of "Wooly Bully."
Preheat oven to the temperature of a flowering Montana meadow in July and cast petals into pan filled with two quarts of scented mountain brook water. Carefully lay lamb on its side while uttering softly and encouragingly, "Walk toward the light little lamb, walk toward the light." As it trustingly closes it eyelids, slam the oven door shut and shoot temperature to 375 degrees. Emit culinary happiness in squelched laughter repeating the words, "tee, hee, hee; tee, hee, hee!"
It helps to pass the time while lamb is roasting by engaging in parlor games or reciting silly poetry like, "Sir Lovelambalot and His Shepherd's Pie." Professional chefs often retire to their favorite lamb skin covered recliner, prop up their feet and play 'sheep poker" using worthless confederate currency washed in Woolite.
Lamb is done when probed with a fork and delicious juices run. Rest meat for ten minutes then scream, "Come and get it!" One last caution, never substitute goat meat and try to pass it off as lamb. That is very baa, baa, baad!
Am I Baaad?
Dad

... Yep, that's Dad for ya.

And to think, if he didn't express them, these thoughts would be left to ferment in his brain.
